The original artwork will be up for auction,
with proceeds going towards the Wounded Warriors Project. Fans are asked to
come to booth 2301 to place a bid on their desired pieces, and continue to
check back at the booth throughout the day to see if they are the winning bid.
The final bids will be collected at 6:00pm and the covers will be distributed.
The staff will be
dressed in camouflage all day Saturday , and will be selling the Grimm Fairy
Tales Wounded Warriors Special comic all day long. Zenescope also created two
San Diego Comic Con exclusives for this comic book. They were done by cover
artists Mike DeBalfo, and Anthony Spay.
The original art from
these covers will be among those available at the auction. The company is
selling these comics, exclusives and running this auction to help support a
very worthy cause.
The Wounded Warrior Project is a nonprofit organization whose stated mission is to
“honor and empower wounded warriors” of the United States Armed
Forces with a vision to “foster the most successful, well-adjusted
generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history”.The Wounded
Warrior Project (WWP) works to raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for
the needs of severely injured service men and women, to help severely injured
service members aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct
programs and services to meet their needs.
Zenescope asks their
fans, as well as attendees, to stop by booth 2301 on Saturday, and support the
Wounded Warriors Project at this year’s San Diego Comic Con.
